Claire Parry
Managing Director of Infrastructure Skills Advisory
Claire is the founder and Managing Director of Infrastructure Skills Advisory, a specialist consultancy that enables government, industry, peak bodies and businesses to deliver socio-economic outcomes through major infrastructure projects. With over 20 years’ experience in education, major projects and the private sector, Claire is an internationally recognised expert in social procurement.
Claire is guided by a high degree of professionalism, and a collaborative approach to working and creating positive socio-economic impact. She leads planning and delivery for organisations that are responsible for commissioning, procuring or delivering jobs, skills development and industry outcomes.
Claire has provided strategic advisory to large infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally, enabling economic development through jobs, skills development and business opportunities. Major projects Claire has worked on include Sydney Metro, Inland Rail, WestConnex, Sydney and Canberra Light Rails and Crossrail, UK.
Claire and her colleagues at Sydney Metro received the ‘Gamechanger’ award for the establishment of the NSW Infrastructure Skills Centre, and the New South Wales Premier’s Award for ‘Making NSW a Better Place to Live’ for the Sydney Metro Pre-Employment Program.
Samantha Hayes
Managing Consultant at Bioneering Australia
Dr Samantha Hayes is a sustainability professional with extensive experience in delivering strategic organisational and project-level sustainability outcomes.
Through Bioneering Australia, she has consulted with major industry partners to identify and manage material sustainability risks and opportunities across their operations and supply chains. This includes development of sustainability governance and management systems, procurement strategies, reporting, assurance, and alignment with industry and government frameworks. Samantha’s work has spanned construction, logistics and transport, mining, operations and maintenance, government, investment, ICT and education sectors.
Samantha has been responsible for establishing and leading the energy and sustainability functions of an international engineering contracting company with up to 200 dynamic project sites. She has developed and implemented award-winning environmental and sustainability governance programs to address contract and legal requirements, organisational vulnerabilities and emergent sustainability opportunities and trends.
With a PhD in Biomimetic Engineering, Samantha also holds a Master of Environmental Law from the University of Sydney, as well as a Bachelor of Environmental Management (Sustainable Development) with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland.
Meg Wrixon
Founder and Director of Wrixon Consulting Pty Ltd
Meg Wrixon is the Founder and Director of Wrixon Consulting Pty Ltd, providing strategic and practical sustainability advisory.
Meg Wrixon has more than 25 years of business experience with 19 years specialising in built environment and infrastructure sustainability, working across all stages of the asset lifecycle. Meg is a skilled communicator and has strong experience in defining and writing sustainability strategies, action plans and reports for a broad range of clients across Infrastructure, Government and Corporate sectors.
Meg advises projects on Infrastructure Sustainability Ratings from early project development stage to support strategic business case planning, as well as managing sustainability performance in design, construction and operations. She is an Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) Accredited Professional (ISAP), an ISC Independent Verifier, Trainer and Independent Sustainability Professional (ISP).
In 2017/2018, Meg was engaged as Group Sustainability Manager at Mirvac. In 2018, Meg was involved in Resilient Sydney, part of the 100 Resilient Cities program, led by the Chief Resilience Officer. This is a collaborative program involving all Metropolitan Sydney Councils, the NSW Government, business and the community. In 2015, Meg was also involved in developing and writing the City of Sydney's ‘Environmental Sustainability Plan 2016-2021’.
Meg has expertise writing corporate sustainability strategies, plans and annual reports. Meg also provides strategic advice to clients responding to the Carbon Disclosure Project and GRESB Infrastructure.
